Receipts
Last updated October 21, 2026
A receipt is a small JSON document the creator's wallet signs into Arweave the moment a launch confirms. It ties the mint to the creator, the metadata to a hash, and the cost to a transaction. Anyone can verify it in a browser without trusting WICK.

Tags on the Arweave item: App-Name: WICK, Type: receipt, Mint: <mint>, Creator: <creator>, Content-Type: application/json.
What it proves
| Claim | How the receipt page checks it |
|---|---|
| The creator wrote this receipt | Irys data items are signed by the uploader. The page asks the Irys index for the item's owner address and compares it with creator. A receipt uploaded by any other wallet fails this check. |
| The create transaction is real and was signed by the creator | The page fetches tx from a Solana node, checks it did not fail, that its fee payer (first signer) is creator, and that mint is among its accounts. |
| The mint exists | The page reads the mint account and checks it is owned by the token program. |
| The metadata has not changed | The page fetches metadata, hashes the bytes and compares with metadataSha256. Metadata on Arweave cannot change; metadata on a mutable host can, and this check would catch it. |
What it does not prove
- That the coin is a good investment, that the creator is honest, or that the art is original.
- That the creator did not also trade from other wallets.
- Anything about trades after the launch. The receipt is a birth certificate, not a history.
Finding a receipt
From the Receipts section on the landing page, paste either a receipt id (opens it directly) or a mint address (queries the Irys index for items tagged App-Name: WICK, Type: receipt, Mint: <mint>). Coins launched anywhere other than WICK, or launched on WICK with the receipt option off, have no receipt.
Why Arweave and not a database
A database WICK ran could be edited, lost, or taken down with the site. Arweave storage is permanent and content-addressed, and the signature on each item belongs to the creator, not to WICK. If WICK disappeared tomorrow, every receipt would still resolve at its gateway address and still verify from the raw JSON.
